Details:

This one is in good condition with only small hole the top right side see photo 5. It will disintegrate quickly in any car left out doors with a leaking or broken windshield and cannot be rebuilt. Packard called it by 2 names: plenum air chamber assembly and accessory. See the last photo for an idea of its location and size.

This item has all mounting hole locations intact and the few metal parts in it mostly along bottom connection to heater distribution box are still very good condition. The part was made by gluing together layers of black fish paper. It does not stand up well to water. It is designated as item b in the drawing.

It resides under the dashboard mounted on cowl and distributes air across front of passenger compartment from heater, which is right side vehicle. As a result, many restored '48-'50 Packard's on the road today are missing this part. This is the air distribution duct for all Packard's.
